Test post on fonts

TEST

www.google.com/fonts: Another reminder how things that used to cost and need to be bought can now not only be downloaded free but also simply linked, with the advantage of not needing to store, backup, and track, with automatic updates and more. Mail, documents, photos, clipart, music, movies, fonts … what else is going to move to cloud-based shared repositories so that individuals won't need their own copies but will just have lists? Everything digital, maybe. What won't be digital in the future?

Old but timely quote on health care

From The New York Review of Books, June 7, 2012

"[Some dismiss] a single-payer system as unrealistic, saying it would be “politically impossible in the United States now, or in the foreseeable future.” … what is truly unrealistic is imagining that we can provide universal and affordable health care in a market-based system."

Also, "My objection to the mandate is not that it requires people to purchase insurance, but that it specifies they buy it from investor-owned companies, whose practices have done much to make our health care system the "unjust and expensive shambles" [it is today]."

Thanks, Marcia Angell, for putting it so well.
